Welcome to My Creative Portfolio

Hi! I’m Yazmin Allen, a graduate filmmaker with hands‑on experience in directing, cinematography, script supervision, and on‑set production roles. I have a deep passion for storytelling and a love for bringing characters, emotions, and ideas to life through film. Here, you’ll find a collection of my projects, the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and the creative journey that continues to shape me. Let’s explore the art of storytelling together.

My Journey in Film and Storytelling

Welcome to my little corner of the filmmaking world. My passion for storytelling began at a young age and grew stronger through my A‑Level studies in Film, Photography, and Business. That path led me to Central Film School, where I earned my 1st Class BA (Hons) in Practical Filmmaking — an experience that taught me resilience, collaboration, and the craft behind every frame.

Throughout my studies and early professional roles, I’ve embraced the challenges and joys of filmmaking: guiding actors to honest performances, shaping stories visually, solving problems on set, and adapting quickly under pressure. Every project, big or small, has taught me something new.

Now, I’m excited to connect with fellow creatives, join new sets, and grow as a filmmaker one story at a time.

Since leaving Central Film School in 2025 with a 1st Class degree, I’ve hit the ground running—creating promotional clips that breathe life into businesses and communities. One project sparked it all…

From Graduation to Action: Turning Visions into Paid Video Stories

Whiteley Village

I turned my film school training into real-world impact, creating dynamic promotional videos for retirement villages, care homes, and community-focused organisations. What began with one standout project has grown into paid creative work built on storytelling, cinematography, and compelling visual marketing. Hamilton Classics Rainwear

I’m proud to be actively transforming Hamilton Classics Rainwear right now, turning their beautiful, heritage-focused brand into something far more engaging and alive through professional video storytelling.

I’m elevating Hamilton Classics’ timeless rainwear by transforming their traditional marketing into dynamic, story‑driven video content. Through scripting, directing, filming, editing, and even using AI for creative concepts, I’m crafting cinematic clips that highlight craftsmanship, heritage, and elegance. These videos bring the brand to life and strengthen visibility, backed by glowing client feedback. Click to explore the full collaboration.

D&A Facilities Ltd

I’m thrilled to be gearing up for my next big collaboration: actively transforming D&A Facilities Ltd through a dedicated promotional video project centered on their cutting-edge Light

Gauge Steel (LGS) technology.

I’m helping D&A Facilities bring their innovative Light Gauge Steel building method to life through dynamic, story‑driven video content. Their sustainable, fast, and resilient construction deserves more than static pages, so I’m scripting, directing, filming, editing, and using AI‑enhanced visuals to showcase the precision, speed, and environmental impact of LGS. These clips highlight a smarter way to build—and why it’s shaping the future.

Film Roles Across Productions

Whilst at Central Film School, I gained practical experience across a variety of real productions:

  • Script Supervisor – “Eat Me” (Curious Fairy Pictures, Dec 2024)
Ensured continuity, maintained script notes, and supported communication between departments.

  • Director – “Whiteley Village: A Dream Fulfilled” (Jun 2024)
Led the creative vision, direction, and collaboration with crew and cast.

  • Cinematographer – “Bathwater” (Jun 2025)
Crafted the visual style, operated camera, and worked closely with the director to shape tone.

  • Director – “Sally” (Nov 2024)
Guided actors, refined narrative, and brought emotional themes to screen.

These roles taught me the value of teamwork, adaptability, and creative problem‑solving — key foundations for my filmmaking career.

Previous Role

Head Waiter – The Ivy Garden (Cobham)

Before stepping fully into film, I developed strong people and leadership skills in a fast‑paced, high‑end hospitality environment. This role sharpened my communication, teamwork, and ability to stay calm under pressure — all of which translate beautifully on set.

I trained new staff, managed customer experience, and balanced part‑time work with my filmmaking degree, which taught me discipline and organisation.
